|My son will be playing football for high school this year. He is 6 ft tall 170 lbs.?|
He will be a lineman. I'm afraid he will get hurt. Is it dangerous?
it depends how rough they play
he's big enough. he'll be fine. it can be dangerous, but with all the pads, and in high school, he'll be ok. he's a big guy, he can take care of himself on the field.
It is alwaya possible someone will be hurt playing football. It is a rough sport. Try not to worry, and quit bragging about how big your son is.
There is always a chance you can get hurt. You can also get hurt walking down the stairs. The chances of major injury are very slim.
Lucky you. I wish him the best in his chosen sport. Don't worry too much.
I think he will be able to handle the pain.
You can get hurt playing football. You can also get hurt walking down the steps. At least with football you are playing the greatest game ever invented. Your son is a big boy now. Let go and enjoy watching him play.
Mom's will always be mom's....I'm a mother to.
If you aren't scared of being hit as a football player, you won't get injured quite as often as you otherwise would. If he isn't scared and stretches allot (an by that I mean stretching at least once every two days) the risk of him getting injured will be much smaller.
no way he is a big boy he will be doing the hurtin
Alot of times, mothers hear only the bad things that happen to people in football. You should have no need to worry. But if he's 170 pounds and he's a lineman you should have him eat some protein and calcium. Milk and chicken. 170 pounds is a little low for a lineman but, he should be fine.
very few players are seriously injured playing football. head and neck injuries are the only real serious injuries that occur while playing . most of those injuries happen when high speed collisions happen. linemen usually have relatively low speed impacts, because their opponents line up right in front of each other. don't worry your son will be fine , driving a car is much more dangerous than playing football statistically speaking.
He sounds more suited to DB or Safety than lineman.
