| How did the Seahawks get moved to the NFC? |
I know they were moved because of Houston getting a team, but did they volunteer to move or did the NFL randomly select Seattle to leave the AFC? How did that work, I can't remember. |
As a Seahawks fan, I just thought it was because we just got damn tired of getting our butts handed to us every single season by Denver, San Diego, Kansas City and the Raiders.......... |

"In 2002, the Seahawks were returned to the NFC West as part of an NFL realignment plan that gave each conference four balanced divisions of four teams each. This realignment restored the AFC West to its initial post-merger roster of original AFL teams Denver, San Diego, Kansas City and Oakland." well they added 1 div. to each conference, and moved a few teams around. the only team to move to a different conference was the Seahawks.........and i would say NFL board made all the arrangements on that decision........... afc kicked them out that was a long time ago why u just now asking everybody forgot. what is more important is asking how the ST LOUIS rams are in the nfc WEST I think they volunteered to move to the NFC. it was part of realignment due to exapnsion in the nfl and to balance things out in each division which has worked out good for seattle |
