Who will the Steelers get in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft?

Jarviss Moss DE Florida.

Me, I hope.

LEON HALL CB | Michigan

There are some big decisions that have to be made in the Steel City but regardless of whether they stick with the 3-4 defense they have come to be known for or make the move to new Head Coach Mike Tomlin's signature Cover 2 they still need some help in the secondary. After signing a contract extension Ike Taylor took a turn for the worse and was even benched at one point so even though they have a bunch of solid cover guys it might be time to add another top talent. There is not an elite corner available this year and nobody will confuse Leon Hall for Champ Bailey but he is just a very solid player who does everything real well and is widely regarded to be the top guy available at his position so to land him in the middle of round one would be great. Linebacker is also a need and depending on what scheme they are leaning towards either Jarvis Moss or Jon Beason could be possibilities and after seeing Jeff Hartings retire you can't totally rule out Ryan Kalil, although they would likely move down a bit before pulling the trigger on him.

this my not be popular or likely but id like to see them get brian leonard fill some of the void that the buss left behind

i originally thought they would go with leon hall but with faneca holding out they should go with a lineman

note they they usually trade up to get the guy they want look for them to trade down to get benn grubbs or justin blalock

but for the sake of cleveland lets hope they get a sorry player

Lawrence Timmons, Paul Pouslozny, maybe Darelle Revis.

If Dwayne Jarrett is there then I would take him.Give Big Ben a huge target to throw to and really open up the offense.

Since the Steelers have somewhat addressed their O-Line problem, I see their immediate needs as an OLB and CB. With the 15th pick of the draft, many good players will be available at either position. I think they will take the best player available and that should be either OLB Lawrence Timmons of FloridaState or CB Aaron Ross of Texas. Timmons has the size (6'1, 234 lbs.) and speed (4.66, 40) to succeed in the NFL. He is also an underclassman and is considered very "coachable". Ross on the other hand, has good cover skills and is fast enough (4.44, 40) to cover most receivers in the league. Either one of these guys would be a good fit for the team and improve the defense. Go Steelers!
