Will the patriots dominate the NFL this year?

Why or why not? No stupid one word answers.

I think no. Historically anytime a team gets a huge amount of attention piled on them more often than not they end up slipping up and falling on their faces at some point during that season. Two years ago it was the Colts. Everyone as touting them to be the best team of the season and believed that they were likely to go undefeated and win the Superbowl. What happened? The choked in the playoffs. Last year it was the Chargers. Everyone was touting that they were the best young team in the league, and that they were likely to go the Superbowl. And what happened? They lost in the first round of the playoffs.

There's just something about shining a giant spotlight on a team that more often than not leads to their early downfall. Maybe it's the pressure, maybe it gets to the players' heads, but for whatever reasons it tends to happen a lot. I suspect that the Patriots may fall prey to this trend this year, as they are the team that every is throwing incredibly high expectations on even before the season gets started.

they probably will, Moss might not deliver, stallworth is another severe injury risk, but their offense has worked without those guys anyway,

with thomas on D theyll be stronger, so theres no reason to think they wont improve on last year and that would equal domination i suppose.

Of course they will! And you want to know why, Brady, Moss, Bruschi, Faulk, Harrrison, Maroney, and Seymour, amongst others! Is that enough words for you

probably but the cowboys will kick there *** when they meet and blow them out if they make it to play them in the super bowl

No

no

Superbowl

Pat's-24
Saints-17

Pat's have what it takes to win a 4th Superbowl. Great Offense,Great Defense,Great Coach

Define dominate? Are 3 point victories domination. (I think a victory is a victory, but it is your question.)

I think it depends on the defense.
They are old and injury prone.
When they are out the Patriots do not win.

They are my pick for AFC Runner-Up

I dont see why not. They still have Tom Brady and Bill Belichek, which is more than enough to get in the playoffs. The great defense they had in the years past is made even better with the new additions in LB, and the mediocre offense finally got some usable WR's. I dont think they will dominate every game, but they certainly got a chance to win the Superbowl.

*Qkey23, the last time we played you, we shut you out 12-0 (I was there), and theres no reason why it shouldnt happen again.

*Secret Asian Man, you make some good points, but this isnt the first time the Pats were in the spotlight. They were unanimous picks for SB 38 and 39, and they delivered. And Bill Belichek will make sure that the hype does not get to their heads. The reasons the chargers and colts have fallen in the years past was that they truly believed they were the best. Remeber what one of the lineman said in 2004 before playing the Pats, "If we keep playing like this, the league might as well hand us the ring" until the Pats beat them in the AFC championship 24-14. Bill will make sure to silence any arrogance coming from any patriot

nope!!!!!!!!

No way. They have age problems all over the "D", the offense is inconsistent & health issues have always haunted them.
