I want to test my ability against the professionals, and work hard to ge to the same level |

Over a 100 Yards? Please, a "good" QB will air it out around 70 yards and average one around 60 yards. One with incredible arm strength might get it 80. |

I'd say anywhere from 60 to 100 yards. Some can throw over 100 yards. 78 yards The average NFL quarterback about 70 yards. Those with great arms like Favre, Manning, and Culpepper, about 80 yards. All in a dome stadium of course, because an open stadium you have the wind that will play a factor. Yet accuracy is far more important. It's take receivers up to eight to ten seconds to get to 80 yards with all the pushing and shoving at the line of scrimmage and the first 10 yards. the average QB can throw accurately 65 - 75 yards. Kyle Boller can throw between the uprights on his knees from 75 yrds. out. Anything over that I wouldn't imagine it wouldn't be all that accurate. Most can throw between 65-75 yards. 60yards 1 mile in a tornado In case of the final play with your team down by 6 points with 70 or so yards to go, somebody gotta step up to throw a cannonball in an angle between 35 degrees-45 degrees in order to make a 70 yard bomb! Throwing almost at vertical isn't going anywhere but straight down.('',) Average about 74 yards. The best arm as far as distance was Bobby Dougalss..Chicago Bears..he was said to be able to throw for over a 100 yards..never in a game It's around 70 yards in the air depending on the weather conditions. watch the QB-challenge on the NFL network... |
