Why only three NFL games on Sunday?

I remember there used to be two at 10:00 (pst) another two at 1:00. But now they don't have two on at 1:00. Fox just goes to some lame info-commercial? What the heck?!

you tell em!

i feel your pain...i remember back in the day when nearly every channel had football, now i can only watch 2 at a time....soooooo stupid, cant stand it

because they are trying to raid our pockets for some quality football

It all depends on what city you're in. I live in Indy and Fox is contracted with NCF games. When the Colts are on Fox can't show a game.

Where do you live? Is the team who you live closest too playing on CBS? Maybe thats why fox is only showing info-commercial. Unfortunately the NFL forces us to watch our home teams. This is a regular slate of games, minus a few byes.

They rotate. one weekend, fox has two games and, nbc, has one. the next, weekend, nbc, has two games and, fox, has one. there is also, a SUNDAY night game.

Fox and CBS still show two games. Fox shows most of the NFC games, while CBS still shows most of the AFC games, and they split the inter-conference games.

If you have satellite, you can watch the main Fox and CBS broadcasts. If you have cable or regular television, you're subject to local blackouts. For example, I live in Greensboro, NC, and the last three weeks the 1 o'clock game on Fox has been blacked out for the Rodeo nationals here in the Greensboro, Coliseum.

It just depends on your local television stations.

The NFL has a contract with FOX (NFC), CBS (AFC), NBC (Sunday Night) and ESPN (Monday Night). The NFL has their own channel show the Thursday Night games (Starting Thanksgiving).

If there is an inter-conference game the VISITING teams network gets the game. (exp: Miami at Dallas would be on CBS and Atlanta at Jacksonville is FOX)

Typically, both networks will feature a double header and show two games each Sunday but some weeks due to inter-conference games either of the networks may not have the rights to show a 2nd game.

Hope that clears it up for you.
