I think its Julius Peppers and then as a runner up: Patrick Kerney.

Julius Peppers. His stats will never tell the story. His teammates will reap the rewards of his greatness for a long time. The amount of attention he deserves (and gets) allows his teammates to rack up stats.

Hi did we not forget Dwight Freeney of the Colts People.

I would think the best current D-lineman is Freeney. Hands down, and without any close competition, the best of all time is Howie Long.

how do u forget Dwight Freeny? best pass rusher out there. if i had a choice i'd have a 4-3 D. and my D line would consist of. Freeney, Peppers, Seymour, and Tripplet.

1 - freeney - 4.38 speed and crazy spin moves
1A - peppers
2 - kearse (when healthy he has 4.4 speed)
3 - casey hampton (classic run-stuffing 2 gap DT)
4 - simeon rice (he's fast as hell, some bucs say that he has the fastest straight-line speed)
5 - rod coleman (double digit sacks every year as a DT)

I'd probably go w/ Peppers as the most dominant. Of some of the others mentioned, Seymour is really good, Kearney is underrated by many but not quite there yet, Kearse (though I'm an Eagles fan) is not what he once was, and Freeney is the fastest but does not play the run. Although seemingly past his prime, Strahan is still right up there (unfortunately).

Dwight Freeney from the Indianapolis Colts. He creates havoc among the line with his speed. Now that would be for a defensive end.

Defensive tackle............maybe a good run stuffer, pick one from the Steelers.
