First off let me express my opinion: how dumb is this proposal? Lets look at the facts; London has a HUGE time zone difference, even if its an east coast team traveling to the UK and vice versa. Toronto couldn't even keep a MLB team running and theuir barely holding on to the Raptors in the NBA. As for Mexico, I don't think there's one person wealthy enough to buy an NFL team in Mexico outside drug dealers.

Now here's my suggestion. If the NFL is SO bent on having outside franchises, or even interest in american football in general, stick to the plan what Roger Goodell has laid out: play some real NFL regular season games outside the US (and make them good matchups not the Giants and Dolphins...yawn). Then if the interest, revenue and passion for the game is there, MAYBE.....host the Superbowl outside the country because that will create soooo much revenue and attention for the NFL and that hosting nation. AND THEN...IF.... all goes well, you could maybe have a team outside the US.

This will never work. I guess they're trying it by shipping off teams during the regular season to see what kind of response they can get. This is irrelevant. The economies of the various contries don't line up. Even with a salary cap, the American dollar won't exchange at an equal rate. Beyond that, how do you convince players to play for those teams? Imagine having a home game every other week!

It would be a good business decision, but some players may not want to live in Canada.
