No.
LSU is a STRONG team. They can pull plays off that other teams couldnt! They come in the game strong and leave strong. They dont give up or weaken their strategies as the games progress like a lot of teams do.
I really think this Sugar Bowl has LSU written all over it! Keev,
I'm a huge Notre Dame fan. Basically, it comes down to whether ND's questionable defense is capable of stopping LSU's powerhouse offense. I have confidence in the offense, but it seems Notre Dame loses their confidence in big games.
Think back to last year's bowl game with OSU, this year's games with Michigan and USC - they didn't just lose...they got killed.
I hope they do, but their defense has to give their offense a chance. To win, their defense must hold LSU to around 21 or fewer points. Their offense, although great, can't be expected to put up 40 points every game to win. It just doesn't happen, even if your playcaller has 4 rings.
Anyways, go ND. ND can win because Charlie Weis says so. And Brady says he's always got one more TD in him.
I'm not a huge fan, but I wish them well, and it'll make Regis happy. All I know is that it is going to be a good game.
Both teams are good defensively, and sometimes LSU has a good offense, sometimes not.
Geaux Tigers! If LSU can stop Arkansas then heck yes they can stop Notre Dame after they got CRUSHED against USC. Brady Quinn is so overated. Yes Notre Dame can win, but they will need to play alot better than they have against anyone with any strength or speed. They will also need a little help from the Tigers. When LSU's offense is clicking they can score on anyone at anytime. LSU's defense (statistically #2) can shut anyone down, but they do give up the big play sometimes.
Quinn will have to have a much better game then he has against Michigan or USC because LSU can hurt him. If he plays well and Notre Dames defense plays well then it should be a good game. If not, Tiger fans will be dancing on Bourbon St. (yet again).
Oh and don't forget one thing. The last time these 2 teams met, LSU embarassed ND 27-9 in Shreveport. I predict it will happen again. Sorry Irish, you make good whiskey but your team just isnt that good.
