How do i get better?

at fullback and linebacker

im at a very competitive youth football league at i need some drills and or work out routines to keep me in shape over the summer

best answer with that includes at least one drill gets 10 points any help would be apreciated

You need to get explosive. I am a shot putter and used to be a lineman/backer. Our HS coach always stressed being exploding and firing off the ball. He had us do these things called box drills. You get 4 wooden boxes and line them up in a row. The first three should be the same height and the last one should be taller than the rest. You Jump onto and over each going forward, then to each side, then hop over each completely. Doing it fast really helps your explosiveness in the legs. If you don't have boxes then jump find a high platform (about 1.25' or 1.5') and bput one leg on top of the platform to start. Then you just continually switch feet at a high pace for one minute. These are called Bounds and are a great way to builg leg muscle.

If you want to use weights, grab two equally weighted dumbbells and place them at your side. Go down into a squat position and jump and extend the body. When you hit the ground again you want to go right back into the squat position and continue the process. About 4 sets of 15 will be a really nice workout for the legs depending on the weight. These are called Jump Squats by the way.

just workout a lot and also make sure you run a LOT. also just run some routes and have your dad throw to you and stuff. thats what i do.
