| Does anyone else think that ESPN is biased towards PAC-10 and BIg Ten? |

They always favor those teams b/c their games are aired on ESPN and ABC (hence them declaring UM v. OSU nat'l Championship). SEC games are on CBS 90 % of the time. We all know that too many people are swayed by some of the homers on ESPN. How can their be "no doubt" that OSU and UM are the two best teams. UM only beat Notre Dame and Wisconsin who in turn have not beaten a ranked team. How is that no doubt unless you are a Big Ten fan. |

I know they are, it's just sick. Though TV contracts might have something to do with it. ESPN commonly distorts facts to favor the Big 10 and Pac 10. They despise the SEC. |

It didn't matter this year if it was ESPNs, FoxSports, CBS Sports, etc. the two best teams in the country this year were OSU and Michigan. As a BigTen fan I always thing they give too much credit to the ACC and Big 12. I think it just depends on your point of view. if it wasnt for espn then a lot of games wouldnt be televised, they even televise div 1AA i don't think they're biased they just know how overrated the sec is. if the big ten and PAC ten had 35 teams like the sec does and scheduled cakewalk non-conference games like the sec they'd have a team in the national championship every year. SEC and CBS have a deal I believe, so yeah they're biased against them... SEC is the best overall conference this year no doubt, but UM/OSU were the best two teams in the country no doubt (sorry Florida... you're in for a rough one). They are definitely biased with the PAC-10, they give them way too much credit. They have openly said though that UM and OSU are really the only two good teams in the Big Ten though. i think you're onto something a little but i feel that espn is really biased towards individual teams rather than conferences. and the s.e.c. deal with cbs may play into it, but i think that the s.e.c. gets plenty of attention (as it should). being a life-long pacific northwesterner i always thaink that their coverage focuses on the east coast and that the pac10 gets shafted. but espn notoriously covers the front-runners to no end and fails to give the big picture in any sport incl. ncaa football. I think they are and then they turn around and say that the SEC is the best conference. Very wishy washy but I think they are just in games shown and players they back for the heisman.(peyton Manning) It has a lot to do with other stations having contract s with other conferences like cbs having first pick of SEC games each week. |
