Fantasy football...is it worth it?

i have participates in a free fantasy football league two years in the past...and am wondering if ti is worth it anymore...i alwyas get last or close to last...i know a good amount about football....but i dont know if i know enough to join another fantasy league....
what are some stratedgies...and maby some things i am not understandin.
thanks for any help

I play fantasy football alot too. I never seem to do very well at it. I also consider myself a pretty knowledgeable football fan, so you would think I would do well, but I don't. It's still worth it, though. It's fun.

As far as advice goes, I would recommend that you update your draft priority order. Put RBs at the top of your list. They seem to get the most points. Tiki Barber, Shaun Alexander, and LaDainian Tomlinson are the most reliable fantasy RBs. They consistently score touchdowns and get lots of points.

I would suggest using your early picks on running backs. After your draft, look at your opponents rosters. If there is a team that is short at running back, trade one of yours for a position that is weak on your team.

yes

look at the depth charts..experts make them to help guys like you out..now draft your RBs early..you can get a damn QB in the later rounds..TE is deep this year..take WRs instead unless a good TE falls to you..don't pick your defense in the 4th round like the other idiots do..defenses are rather irrelevant..they score all about the same..not worth wasting a high pick on...and lastly..this ISN"T REAL FOOTBALL...stop picking people like Vick and Reggie bush just because they are exciting..they don't produce good numbers..pick the consistent big number guys people don't talk about..like Harrison and Holt..Rudi Johnson..and Ronnie Browns of the world..

To be honest most guys that play fanstasy football do know a lot about it..as do i..but you have to be able to seperate the real game and remember its a game..and make sure you know the rules so that they benefit you

Being a fan of a team, watching a game or two a week, and the highlights = superfan.

Knowing everything about every team, watching three games a week, spending hours of your free team pouring over stats sheets = a little geeky.
