This USAflagfootball.com/blog offers tips and ideas for anyone looking to start a flag football team. This information will be helpful to anyone looking for ideas to raise money for entry fees, to recruiting better players, and to order jerseys or other equipment. Hail marry every time!!! I would suggest assigning every player a number, 2-7 or 2-8, leaving out 1 for the quaterback. We use to have 3x5 cards, with each person assigned a number, running a specific pattern. That way when you got into the huddle, you flashed the card, people looked to see where they were at and what pattern to run. From there you could communicate to a particular player that you might be looking their way. Misdirection plays can be effective once in awhile in flag football especially. I'd suggest faking a handoff to the RB, having the QB rollout and a WR cross behind him for another fake handoff. That gives the defense three players who could possibly have the ball. Of course, you can turn any of those fakes into a real handoff to throw the D off even more. |
