Can we people stop talking about Vick. This isn't the issue. The issue is Dog Fighting is against the law. For good reason. Dogs are domesticated animals where as deer are not. They run rampid and spread diseases. Michael Vick broke the law therefore he should go to jail. Simple as that. i agree First of all Marbury is an idiot...let's get that straight ok....and second off, dog-fighting is unusally cruel and there's a whole list of reasons why. Hunting an animal isn't torturing them, although I'm not big on hunting either.
Regardless if you can't see why dogfighting and the torture that Vick put these animals through...then you're simply ignorant.

You dont raise deer to be killers like they were raising these dogs. ALSO why kill the dogs when they lose??
Most hunters use the deer afterwards. They eat the meat and use the skins. What do they do with the dead dogs?????? a Law is a Law. And it needs to be obeyed. You can twist this anyway you want, he broke the law and now he will pay. Ur an idiot just like marbury is!!!!

only difference is in dog fighting you don't get to hang dead dog heads on your bedroom walls. deer and boar heads sure lighten a house up. You can only hunt deer in season. If you do it out of season you can pay fines, lose your hunting license and your gun and even go to jail. Also there is usually a limit of how many you can kill and how big they have to be to kill them. Most people that hunt deer eat the meat.
The beautiful thing about this country is that you can go out and lobby to have deer hunting made illegal. If you feel that strongly about it, but then you would have to become a vegetarian.

Actually it has everything to do with dog fighting because that's the law he broke. If these athletes were half as educated as you they would still say and do stupid things. they are a waste of talent on bad people. And just because someone does something else that's illegal or wrong doesn't mean that what Vick did was "not a big deal". You would be looking at it differently if Vick did something illegal to directly affect your life, so stop trying to justify ignorance and trying to sound intelligent with your stupid reasoning. In the scheme of things in society, understanding laws and rules...we are governed by them. If there are no laws or rules to keep things in check, it's possible chaos would reign.
Society has grown and has developed because of laws and those laws were put into place to protect humans, domesticated animals etc.
Michael Vick and all cowardly people who support dog fighting are breaking the law. Just like if someone would shoot you for sport, it's breaking the law.
The law allows deer hunting for thinning of herds. If this did not happen deer would over run areas they live causing other issues for farmers, drivers etc. And the DNR hasn't fully embraced birth control for deer yet.
There is no reason for dog fighting to take place or exist. They are domestic animals in the United States and are protected based on that and more needs to be done with the law enforcing harsher penalties against those who harm animals.
If we would apply the same thinking some folks have that dog fighting is a sport to human sports imagine what it would be like if there were no laws. In dog fighting, animals are unleashed on other dogs looking to fight, helpless puppies and when a dog doesn't live up to the fight, the owner kills them or let's them live torn up and cripple.
Ok, under this thinking, if Michael Vick throws more than one interception, the owner of the team needs to cut off a finger and if the team loses, then the owner needs to slaughter all of them for not playing well.
Isn't it good that we are civilized enough...intelligent enough to know right and wrong and isn't it good that there are laws to protect us when there are those who are NOT civilized enough...or intelligent enough to know right from wrong?

First of all, yes, he broke a law, and he will be punished for that, period. But most of all he TORTURED the dogs that did not win. I don't see hunters drowning deer, or hooking them up to a generator.
