I am appalled that he is still not in the hall of fame. he is 8 places higher than michael irvin in receptions (5th all time) and yet they put him instead. he is clearly one of the best WRs to ever play the game. He is the first WR to get 900 receptions, he retired with the single season receptions record, and the most consecutive games with a catch. Also a 3 time pro bowler and 11th in all time recieving yards. can someone please explain to me why he is not in the hall of fame?

As a Cowboy fan I hated Monk when we played against them, but he deserves to be in the HOF much more than thug Irvin does.

It's a joke that he's not in .This is like Bert Blyleven in baseball. Yes, it is past time that Art Monk should be in the HOF. How can that little twit John Clayton be in, but not Monk. That's not right

And when he retired, before the changes in the game that created the big yardage guys today, he lead in most of those stats. Nobody would say he wasn't the best Wide Receiver of his era. (the era just before Jerry Rice, who's the best of all time)

I'm sure his day will come, but if you average all the career and post season totals Michael Irvin, has better numbers Than Monk, which are almost I denical, but Mike did it a few years quicker.

i will never visit the hall of fame in canton until monk is put in hes one of the all time greats and the fact hes not in just makes me sick!
