Stronger and bigger?

im 17 and been going to the gym for about 6 months now. i have gone from 165lbs to 180lbs in that 6 months but now i seem i cant put n e more weight on. i am trying to get to around 200lbs by the end of the year and how do i do this?

i dnt have alot of money to spend on expensive protein supplement though. what is the best way to gain around 20lbs in the next 6 months?

eat a super duper large amount of food. but don't get fat, just buff so don't eat junk, just healthy crap.

lift ever other day, i take whey protien, its like 20 bucks at GNC for like 2 months and it seems to help muscle regenerate faster so i hpe it helps lol

Since you work out a lot, eat a ton of potatoes and drink a liter of beer at bedtime.

Seriously some people just peek at a certain weight and from there all they can do is more body definition. i dont know if thats the case with you but you can probably go up to 200 pounds. and if you want to dont waste your money on suplements and all that bull. heres what you do get a high protein diet, you know eggs sausage, steaks for dinenr and all that work out and every morning get 2 eggs, some bananas, some milk and chocalete pwder and maybe some cinnamon to take the egg taste away and put it in the blender and there you go, and its pretty good. do that and youy will gain weight, just remember to work out hard because if not you will just get fat, lol.

Just eat alot and lift weights, you'll see the results.

It's all in your diet. At your age you don't need to be taking supps anyway. Eat 7 meals daily, and be consistent with it. I know that sometimes I don't do this on weekends because I am not on my regular schedule. Make sure that your meals are high in protein. Many people say that in order to gain muscle you need to be consuming 1.5-2.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. That means that you should be taking in roughly 360+ grams per day. Make certain that the meats that you eat are lean, and organic if at all possible.(great for overall nutrition) Buffalo burgers, Organic hamburger, and salmon are my top choices, and all are high in protein. This way of eating can be expensive, but you can cut costs by substituting a protein drink for two of your daily meals. Also, make sure that you are eating no later than 30min after your workout. One of my largest meals of the day is right after I work out. You need to refuel your muscles!!!

it's not the healthiest way, but eat late before you go to bed. at eighteen, i was stuck at 185. when i was 21, i moved a block away from Jack In the Box. i started eating late, after work, after workouts, after partying, etc. within about 6-8 months i jumped up 205. main thing is that you keep training and not turning into slop. like i said though, it's NOT healthy and keep training.

You hit what is referred to as a plateau. Barring genetics, the best way to break though a plateau is shocking your muscles with lifts they are not accustomed to. Change up your program and your lifts. If you are doing mainly flat bench鈥?hit dumbbell decline and such. Also change your reps and sets鈥?if you are a constant 10 reps for 3 sets type person鈥?change up to 6 reps for 5 sets on days and 15 reps for 2 sets on days. Also look at putting 鈥渘egatives鈥?into your routine more, especially if you doing 6 reps for 5 sets.

It is a good idea to change up your routine so as to not allow your muscles to become accustomed to your workout.
