| Why do the cowboys always have a game on thanksgiving? |

Actually your all wrong. When the NFL decided to make a game on Thanksgiving, No team wanted to play because that would mean they wouldn't be able to be home and Tex Shram asked for the spot and after a few years it caught on and other teams wanted to take that day and the league voted that because Dallas took it when no one wanted it. so now the league says the only way it will be given up would be by the Cowboys and Lions. So actually you can thank the Boy's for giving us Football on Thanksgiving because no one else wanted to. p.s. All teams had a chance to take that day but didn't want it. GO COWBOYS |

cause they are from texas = land of the hillbillies I don't how or when that tradition started, but the Cowboys and Lions always have home games on Thanksgiving. You can't put all the turkeys on the table. They have to breed for next years dinner. You can thank Tex Schram for that. Back in the day when television coverage was limited, Schram fought to get Dallas in the NFL's eastern division, which got the most t.v. coverage and he got the Thanksgiving Day game. Now it's just about tradition and sports is all about tradition. Strictly scheduling.......the only lock on playing on Thanksgiving was years ago when the traditional game was the Green Bay Packers vs the Detroit Lions. Because they are: AMERICA'S TEAM it's a tradition I don't know, but I am glad.....nothing I like better that eating a huge Thanksgiving dinner and then settling back on the couch and watch my favorite football team play...GO COWBOYS!!! Because they are huge TURKEYS!!!!!!! IM FROM DALLAS AND IM NO HILLBILLY OR TURKEY BUT YOU HATERS JUST WISH YOUR TEAM COULD BE CALLED AMERICA'S TEAM..BROWN AND PROUD Cowboys 4 life is telling it like it is. If you check your history, you will see that what he has stated is correct. Have some class and respect the knowledge. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. So we can all be bored on Turkey day. sorry im a reskins and bucs fan so I hate Dallas. |
