Dungy's a good guy. Leave him alone. How many copies would you like? Are you not "bigoted" for asking this question? This is Tony Dungy's opinion. I respect it, although I strongly disagree. I don't think Dungy is a bigot, but I would like to see high profile celebrities start preaching acceptance and understanding. I can't wait to purchase this book, maybe even 10 to disgust you even more. Wow! I hadn't planned to but thank you for giving me a good reason to do so! :) does it have a anti suicide chapter as well? I didnt know Tony Dungy was in a gay marriage Looks like I will now. Yeah. Thanks for the info. you are gay Tony is entitled to think what he wants even if I don't agree with it. There is a chapter in the book about his son and how religion helped him and his family get through it. And for your information Tony and his wife are now working with anti-suicide groups. Give the man a break, he lost his son in a very tragic and painful way. And yes, I intend to buy the book. I think you are missing the point.......This book is his memoirs.....Its his life according to him..........So many people want to know why Dungy is the type of coach hes is...Including me....And I'm glad he wrote a book because he is fascinating.....Wow somebody doesn't have to yell and look like an idiot on the sidelines to be successful.....People want to know why he is different and I think this is his way of letting people in on that reason.............The title sums him up...Quiet Strength........I really like the guy.......Not only does he develop players but coaches too....There are now 4 of his former staff members that are head coaches.......Dungy is a class act man........And I just bought the book because he is a very eloquent speaker and his one of those lit from within people and I want to see what he has to say....... I won't. I don't believe it's okay to be a bigot just because you're black and religious. Hell no!!!!! Before this, I never liked Dungy that much in the first place and now I discovery how really bigoted he is I've completely lost respect for him.I'm am glad and honored that you are the few put this out there for some NFL fans because it seem like other advocates aren't and because of that he is basically on top of the world and he is getting away with it. There are a lott of politicians, columnist, and organizations that openly feel that same way Dungy does but they are not going off free. They achieve enormously bad reputation because of those views. More people are need to address his bigotry or he'll keep getting away with it. if his book is truly anti gay, then I will buy it for sure. Good point. I wonder if he talks about how suicide is considered a mortal sin in the Christian religion. Not being mean and degrading the seriousness of his loss, but the poster made a good point. Let's not pick and choose the rights and wrongs of religion. I don't see him preaching to "anti-suicide" groups. To me, that is hypocritical. |
