| How bad is it that Monday Night Football is now on cable (ESPN)? |
|
The commentary was not the greatest, but that is not even the issue. It's the fact that now...you have to PAY to see a game on Monday night. We are at a time where almost a majority of people have cable TV (like myself), but it just sucks that there is no other option but to subscribe, go to a sports bar, or mooch off a buddy. Sorry for the rant, but I was curious to know who felt the same. |

I agree. I have cable, but I have a friend who doesn't. Even if he did, I still think it's a loss of viewers (and they should have kept sunday night on EPSN, and just gave Monday to NBC....I don't know why they switched). Luckily for people here in SD, ABC was playing the Chargers game too. |

I agree with you that it sucks having to pay to watch the game on tv. But if you think about it, mooching off a friend to watch the game is better. I know if I watch the game myself, it's pretty boring. Who doesn't have ESPN? I used to watch ESPN religiously. I came to grow tired of Chris Berman and his 3rd grade name calling(for nicknames). ESPN over analyzes and over markets whatever they have on their broadcast schedule. I am so thankful my TV has a volume control so I can turn the idiots down who call the games. I rarely watch ESPN now it grew old quickly. this question was asked last night, not the same way, but if it mattered, and i was like, MNF is MNF. either way it is good. I did not look at this aspect of it and you are right. That really does suck. I of course have cable as well... but there ARE some people that like to save money as much as they can. Well I guess it will come down to who is a real football fan.... but yes i agree who doesn't have cable if you can afford to type on a computer then you should have cable i think the only people without cable is everyone over 90 and exocet 75 aka robert d I you can not afford cable than you should not watch football. I do not want poor people or trailer trash such as Ozzie Guillen watching my sports. it doesnt seem right to have Monday night football on ESPN. Its better on ESPN cuz they have the bottom line so you can see what else is going on ABC wasent that fantastic What really sucks is having to pay to watch ESPN's **** announcers. ESPN is about as fair and balanced as Fox news. They suck. It sucks. ESPN has become so full of itself. It thinks it is the be all end all of sports. Of course, I'm biased, I'm a hockey fan and they no longer show hockey--they show more important sports like bowling, darts, poker. Yes, poker is fun to play but who wants to sit around and watch someone else play it?!? |
