I don't think they should forfeit the rest of their games. Both teams have other players that were not involved in the brawl. Why punish them for something they didn't do? I don't believe in the whole "punish as a team" thing either. They worked hard to earn a position in a great college football program, they are making the most out of the opportunity. The ones who fought should have been disciplined a bit more.

But I wonder if ALL players frm both sides were fully involved. Did any of them stay on the sideline ? Did any of them realise they'd gone there to play football, rather than fight ? If so, it'd be harsh to punish them too.

This will never happen. Too much loss of revenue from gate receipts. Do you have any idea how much money is taken in from concessions alone at these games? You would be shocked.

No, punishing everyone for the actions of a few isn't the answer. You'd be punishing the players not involved, the fans, and people who earn a living working at the stadiums.
