Probably California. why does the teams per state thin out recruiting prospects??? you need to find the number of schools, then divide by the eligible population of 18 year old males who play footbal. neither of us is going to figure that out because we are too lazy. however, i would say that florida, new york, and california have the highest number of colleges for bowl subdivision football teams. again, were both too lazy to figure it out. Texas has UT, UTEP, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, TCU, North Texas, Houston, and Rice all in the FBS. Texas has ten schools in Div 1-A. You forgot Baylor and SMU (to go along with the University of Texas, UTEP, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, TCU, North Texas, Houston, and Rice). Ohio might be up there, there are 2 of them right by were I live UT & BGSU. That is 8 just division 1 not counting 1-A. |
