| Anyone else like to see Spurrier coach Alabama? |
|
Sure. Real curious to see how he will do back in Florida too. Should be interesting. |

I would not. I think that he is arrogant and I really don't think that he has the ability as a coach to get the most out of his players. He only really has one system that he knows and it takes a lot of talent to pull it off. Maybe with his strong ties in Florida he could recruit some blue chippers from that hotbed, but I doubt it. Alabama football is all about tradition. I would hire Larry Coker first. The only reason he failed at Miami is that the coach has no control over the players because even the AD and university president would not properly discipline the thugs that Coker was supposed to win with. why would spurrier leave sc he just beat Clemson and he already said that he would be there for a long time sorry to burst yor bubble but he;s ours lol Speaking as an Auburn graduate, NO. He is too good. Total mismatch. if spurrier goes anywhere it will probably be to Miami, but that place is a train wreck I would like to see Spurrier at Tennessee hoping they would get rid of Fat Fulmer!!! I would love to see him coaching at Bama. For now, it is only a rumor though. Absolutely. Can you imagine what he could do at Bama? South Carolina is a nice place and they have nice fans, but Bama has tradition and everything in place to win championships. They just need a coach like Spurrier to do it. He can stay at Carolina for years and be a good coach, maybe slip into the SEC Championship game every few years, or he could come to Alabama and go very often, like was the case in the 90s when it was always Alabama vs. Florida. Wow...now that's a scary thought. Alabama is a "Sleeping Giant." Spurrier would return that program to national prominence in no time at all. 'Bama Tradition lies six feet under in a box with the old A&M coach...they went for a while there by cheating and by the grace of the bear, but they are in shambles now. The firing of Shula shows that they are an arrogant program that has no patience and expects to be there just because they are the "Tide". Well, it's gonna take some Tide to wash away that pride and start humble again. Why would Spurrier want any part of that? That would be about the same as going back to work for Daniel Snyder again up in DC. Hold on 'bama fans, there's a whole lot of "ordinary" in your future! They should have held on to Shula a couple more years. ABSOLUTELY, BRING HIM ON I WOULD Its a done deal. Fear the Visor Awbern! Spurrier will anounce he is headed to Bama. The deal is 10 years $30 million. Spurrier at Bama..... Wow! Rumor is that he is going to Bama for about $4-$5 million/year. |
