| Why couldn't Alabama stop Darren McFadden knowing he was going to run the ball? |

'cause he's the best back in the country? |

Cause DMac is the MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who cares, the Tide won! Saben sucks, is why. well, id have to say that teh defense was tired. in teh first half (the only half i watched) they stoped him pretty well. scoreless and not too many yards. but a football game has two halves, and it probably took a toll on the tides D Well you can't just completely run commit to stop one guy. That's bad coaching. The other 3 or 4 skill position players can beat you if you key in on one guy. Play action can be deadly. Actually...they did stop him. Thats the thing, you know he is going to run but you can't stop him because he just that great of a player.Everybody knew Reggie Bush was going to get the ball when he played for USC but though you knew he was going to get the ball he is just that great of a player there isnt anything you can do about it. Well, he's not the ONLY one @ Arkansas that can run & Bama was VERY effective in containing Jones. We did hold him below his norm in a lot of his stats!! For example, he typically averages double-digit receiving yards & has AT LEAST one double-digit receiving play, but his long with us was 9 yds. & his average was 5.5 yds. Why can't anyone stop mcfadden? Because he is a great running back. It helps that you have to try to stop mcfadden and jones when they are both in the game, because both of those guys can beat you. |
