I saw a recent question about the most overrated and underrated teams in the NFL and some people said the Patriots were the MOST overrated team in the NFL. Can any of you people explain to me how this is possible? they havent lost a game, they have beaten two undefeated teams (cowboys and colts), have scored at least 34 points 8 of 9 games, have beaten all their opponents by two touchdowns in 8 of 9 games, have a top 5 defense AND offense, and have a qb on pace to break most of the single season qb records. eveybody knows there is a difference between overrated and hated right?

They clearly aren't overrated on what they've done. Besides those who just can't stand to see a team other than their own doing so well, the only logical explanation is that the Patriots are being undercut by the assumption that they will go 16-0. Since that is what is being projected, some people might be saying that you can't call them the best ever yet, they still need to get 7 more wins(or maybe 10 if you really are going to make it tough). So while it's clearly not fair or realistic to call them overrated, it's kind of understandable for some to take they attitude that until they've reached perfection for the entire season, then their perfect record doesn't make them best.

They're not overrated, the writer, is obviously biased against the Patriots.

They keep citing "the Patriots have not played any good teams this year". ( Chargers, Colts, Cowboys) to name a few of the teams the Patriots have played.... they just twist facts, to fit their arguements.

most likely because the Patriots were caught cheating in the first game of the season, and how do we know that they are not cheating right now? As a side note when it was proved that they did in fact cheat against the Jets that game should have been counted as a loss for them but im not the commishiner so what do i know?

You will see when they run up the score and someone gets mad and takes a cheap shot on Tom Brady. Remember the backup who threw that interception for a touchdown his first play? Just wait until someone Breaks Brady's leg and that question will be answered.

im a colts fan.. and i can say they are not over rated.. they r
9-0 and have beaten the colts and the cowboys.. u cant be that over rated.. all though they do have an extremly weak schedule.. they will probably go 15- 1 or even 16-0 with that schedule but if they had the colts schedule.. they would probably go 13-3 or 14-2 (not much of a defference but u get the point)... all in all they r definatly not over rated...

There is no way you can overrate the Pats. They get it done every week and I see nobody left on the schedule that the Pats won't be favored by at least 10 points. The only game left between them and a championship will be the AFC championship with the Colts. Since that game will be in Foxboro, it will be nowhere near as close as the game in the RCA dome. Pats win that by 14 and then win the Super Bowl by 28 in a route of the Cowboys or Packers. BEST TEAM EVER

i don't say it's overrated when you say they're the best team this year so far...
they are the most overrated team because people are comparing them to the best teams of all time before the season is over.
let them win something besides a regular season game before we call them the greatest of all time
