Is Kentucky the biggest surprise in college football this year so far?

I mean they are not just slipping by with close wins, but they are demolishing their opponents, which are not all "cream puffs." They beat Louisville 40 - 34 and Arkansas 42 - 29.
I don't follow UK, but they surpised me.

I think South Florida has that honor.

And there is a small possibility of them being in the title game.

Of course Kentucky would have to lose for that to happen.

Not saying one way or the other.

Just saying..."who has ever even heard of South Florida?"

They have a very good QB, I picked them as the surprise team in the SEC

I think that's a strong possibility. I certainly wouldn't have expected them to beat Louisville and Arkansas. Notre Dame's awfulness is pretty suprising too. USF has also been a suprise. Hopefully Kentucky can keep suprising people.

Yes,I always considered Kentucky as a basketball powerhouse only, they themselves probably didn't think they would be in this position after 5 games

They are definitely in the top five. Only Notre Dame's 0-5 start rivals Kentucky's 5-0 start. One loss or win on a Saturday is not that surprising, but a five game trend...

I'd say it's a toss up between UK & South Fla. Both have amazing QBs.

Poor Kentucky has been an SEC patsy for years, in football (not basketball, obviously)..it's good to see them doing well.

They are really good, but it will be interesting to see what happens when they play an elite SEC team, not just Arkansas.

No...How pathetic Notre Dame seems to be is a bigger surprise...It was going to be a rebuilding year, but I don't think anyone envisioned 0-5...

It is either Kentucky or South Florida, depending on how the Cinderella stories end.

KY, SFL or my beloved Bearcats who are 5-0. Also, at the other end of the spectrum you have ND and Michigan.

Kentucky isn't a Cinderella team.... I hope that story doesn't start coming out.

They've made the best of each game they've had and they are doing what matters most. Winning at all cost. The SEC East is particularly tough this year. The biggest question is can they keep up this momentum. South Carolina went 7 - 0 in 2001 but ended up losing the next 4 straight games to Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, and Clemson. There's a lot of football left and they are slowly getting into the true meat of their schedule.

And yes, Louisville is a cream puff. :)
