No, you cannot really compare pro to college. The worse pro team would walk all over the best college team. LSU is a great team, but not everyone on that team is good enough to be a pro, but everyone on a pro team IS a pro.

No way. Actually, I'm sure they COULD because nothing is impossible, but on any given day, no way. For that matter, not even the godly USC could beat a professional team. Ask yourself... could the best high school team in the country beat a mediocre college team? Maybe. But again, on any normal day, probably not.

The selection is tough getting into college and is ten times tougher for the NFL. That's why they pay those guys the big bucks.

Its always a funny question to ask, but the answer is NO. LSU currently has at most 15 players (playing not counting redshirts) that will play in the NFL, the Browns have over 40 NFL calliber players. Even the best LSU players (primarily their speedy receivers, and good DL) are not good enough to make up that difference. The best college teams year in and year out would lose consistently to the worst NFL team by at least 20 points. When you consider that LSU will be asked to use their 4th DB to cover someone who is at the NFL level (meaning far surperior to college) there is no way.

Its a better question in the case of basketball (where you can have maybe 2 great players-hence approx 1/3 of your teams playing minutes). Or baseball, where if you have one great pitcher you can pull a one game upset.
