could be, but it won't happen. not this week Definitely LSU. USC supposedly has a great D but allows all kinds of points against creampuff opponents. They are a fraud and Cal and/or Oregon will expose them in due time. I'm a hardcore USC fan but right now if I had to vote I would vote LSU #1 and USC #2. Of course I might change my vote in a few weeks there wont be a tie, but i honestly think LSU has been more impressive thus far and played the harder schedule so i think LSU should be #1. USC won. They will stay number one. period. LSU beat Virginia Tech (9 and likely to move up) by 41 Points, USC beat Washinton (unranked) by 3 points. USC allowed 24 points to Washington. LSU allowed 31 points this season. In all 5 of LSU's games the opponents starting quarterback has been benched for performance reasons. USC is a great worthy opponent, but calling them #1 when everything they have shown is #2 helps nobody. A #1 team just doesn't fall out of first this early in the year, but in this year's topsy turvy season, you could be right. LSU should be #1 but the Trojans will more than likely stay on top I'd have to agree with most everyone that the USC win over WSU was ugly. The Trojans just made too many mistakes plus 160+ yards in penalties. WSU gained less than 200 total yards and 21 of their 24 point came directly from turnovers. lsu LSU Tigers LSU LSU you kidding??? Just leave them however you had that before this week (I personally had SC #1) b/c LSU will decide this on the field next week. If they beat the Gators, they'll move up to #1, if they lose, they'll drop. So, for the next week, it doesn't really matter much. And if LSU wins, and moves up, USC will have its chance when it plays #3 Cal (and probably another top 10 when it goes to Oregon), assuming both of them remain unbeaten until USC comes losing (oops, I mean visiting). |
