| How big would it be for the Buckeyes IF they beat LSU in the championship? |

Look, i dont need SEC folks saying things like "WONT HAPPEN", or Michigan fans saying they wont even make it their, i know you dont agree with it, so dont bother. I am saying after their loss to Florida last year and their weak schedule, how big would it be for them to beat LSU when its all said and done? |

People are so delusional that it wouldnt even matter, they would come out with the excuse that LSU wasnt even the best team in the SEC or some crap like that. Maybe the game was rigged. Just a common theme i have picked up from those folks. Acceptance isnt one of their strong suits. |

it would be "big" for them to beat ANYONE in the NC game this year after last year's @$$ whippin. Almost as big as the Kansas Jayhawks beating LSU in the championship....ALMOST it would be huge. i for one would love to see it. i'm so sick of sec fans dogging every other conference about how much better they are than the rest. sec speed is unmatched. bs. it would finally shut those sec bastards up for a little while at least. O-H!! Here is a list of teams that would beat Ohio St. And this aint up for discussion or argument, this is the way it is so deal with it. That would be as monumental as it is unlikely. Well I don't think they'll do it...but it would be a surprising upset, that's for sure. OSU has a good defense...against crappy teams...LSU played harder opponents, and Florida's offense wasn't exactly pedestrian... Both teams have some big hurdles before that could happen. Don't forget too that Boston College could roll through the year undefeated and play Ohio State or someone else. LSU still has to play Alabama and Nick Saban this weekend. Then they would have the SEC Championship game assuming they beat Alabama. Ohio State still has to play a very improved Michigan team. It would be huge for OSU to get to the BSC National Championship game and beat whoever it is there. I believe that OSU has a much better team than they did last year. If, and I say IF, they beat LSU, they might be considered legitimate. It would shut people up saying OSU sucks, they dont deserve to be #1 etc...Im a Michigan fan, and I actually can see OSU going to the national championship game, I think they're good, regardless what happen last season, times change, OSU would have a chance of beaing LSU, they have great defense Not as big, because it wouldn't have the same effect of beating the team that beat you last year. Besides, both teams need to focus on the next game and not look ahead, especially THE Ohio State, Question: who have the Buckeyes REALLY played this season? It would be a very big win if it happened. It is not that big of a stretch. LSU just isn't that good this year. On a neutral field, they have three losses. Only some very serious ref favoritism got them by Florida and especially Auburn. it would be big, but lets be realistic. College football needs a playoff. No rankings should be given out until mid november. Otherwise You see teams like south florida ranked #2 and teams like michigan off the radar after the 1st week of the season. If Ohio State gets to the championship, its a toss up if they win or not. Ask again after they play michigan. I'd love to see which team falls and how far they fall after a big loss to a big team. PAC 10 for life It would be huge for the program. OSU hasnt really shown anything in the past couple of years outside of dominating lesser teams and losing to quality teams. This years schedule was probably the worst ever, with the Big 10 being really down in quality and having a very lukewarm OOC schedule. Being an SEC fan and resident, seriously OSU needs to toughen their schedule before they should even be considered for the NC. Beating the likes of Youngstown St, Akron, and Kent St is hardly a claim for the NC. Honestly they need to step out and play a team from the SEC or ACC just to prove that they can compete (even if its Vandy or Duke). Folks are gonna look at the NC game as a bore if OSU makes it with the cakewalk schedule they play. So they beat Penn St. Who's that? Paterno cant play so what else have they got besides their name. They seriously need to compete with better teams, so if they do win it, then the college football nation will at least think they deserve it. The only folks that will be watching that game are gonna be from Ohio and whatever team/state they play. Honest, unbias answer. it would be big, and I would love every minute of it. But, I'm so sick of hearing people talk like Ohio State never schedules tough games. yes, this year is pretty easy, seeing that the entire big ten is rebuilding, and michigan was a let-down. but in the future, Ohio State plays USC, Oklaholma, Miami, and we played vince young and texas, and almost beat them (had our tight end not dropped that pass in the endzone) it would be as big as pigs flying Not too big. After all, they beat a MUCH BETTER team in 2002 in the Miami Hurricanes, with Kellen Winslow, Jr. LSU is a fine team, but they couldn't hold the jock straps of the 2002 Hurricanes, and OSU beat them. The schedule is irrelevant; an outstanding team is and outstanding team. OSU has already proven they can beat a team who is supposed to crush them in the NC. Of course, they have also proven they can get humiliated in an NC that most "experts" said they would win. Go figure. Its college football, its unpredictable. 18-20 year old kids. The Bucks need too. I hope they will. Let's remember something - for all those doubter out there... Ohio State IS one of the most storied College football programs of all time. Some people act like the only NC game they played in was against Florida. as big as appalachian state beating michigan in the big house. |
