Lsu beat #17ALA Oregon Beat #4 ASU |

LSU has beaten more ranked teams than Oregon. |

because everyone knew ASU was way over rated. I don't know why. BCS is funny like that. But I am thinking that Oregon is going to go all the way though. oregon is in a weak conference Because everyone thinks the SEC is such a tough conference, and the PAC 10 is a joke. It's not true, but that's what the predominantly east-coast poll voters think. Because LSU lost to a #22 Kentucky (#14 at the time) and Oregon lost to a unranked California team (#23 at the time) It doesn't just go by the last opponent. It factors in the teams you've faced all year, and LSU plays in a much tougher conference. Hmm...no idea LSU is 5-1 against ranked teams. Oregon is 3-1 . Even if Arizona St. wins out rest of year i dont think it will validate Oregon in the polls eyes. I will give them this, took some huge ones to go to Michigan 2nd week of season and play. Then put a good schedule together and will surely get nothing in return in the end. Cal was ranked #6 when they beat Oregon Because while Oregon did handily defeat #4 Arizona State, you have to look at the whole over resume of the 2 teams. Oregon has beat #12 Michigan, #19 USC, and now #8 Arizona State. LSU has beaten Florida, Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina, and a out of conference game vs. Virginia Tech. I think that clearly with LSU's record combined with their strength of schedule are the better team than Oregon. Because Arizona state was WAY overrated, and still would have beat Oregon if their QB had been healthy. Kansas is the one who should be rated higher. So should Oklahoma. As I have said for weeks since I actually saw some ASU games and looked at their schedule, they weren't that good to begin with. They arent as bad as former #2 South Florida but they are not that good. LSU beat a tough conference rival in Alabama. Having said that, is Oregon playing better football than LSU right now? I think so but dont worry, before the season is over it will be LSU #1, Oregon #2 and they will play for the championship. I'm an SEC fan, but I will tell you that I think Oregon is the better team. They would certainly get my vote at #2. And by the way, LSU was lucky to beat Alabama. No, I can't tell you why. LSU just doesn't look very good to me, the Ducks do. Maybe next week... we'll see. I thought they should have. But then voting is only 2/3 (?) of the BCS equation. I can't, other than it seems to me that there's always been an East coast/South bias. Teams from the West(other than USC)aren't given the credit they deserve. You're right, though, Oregon has a tough schedule AND they beat ASU, a higher rated team in the BCS. |
