|What was your opinion of the LSU/Miss St. game last night?|
I don't think LSU played it's very best, and that's pretty scary considering they won 45-0. Sure, it's Miss St., but you don't usually see domination like that the first game of the season ON THE ROAD.
They beat a team thatthey were supposed to beat, but with that being said I saw some holes in their offense last night that I thnk will end up costing them at least 2 games in the Sec. the first half was unimpressive and if they play like that against Vtech they will lose. But all in all LSU Blew MIss st out what else can you ask for?
LSU looked like poop, did not look smooth at all,,, if it were not for the 6 interceptions then dont think that they would have scored like they did on MSU,,,,, MSU defence looked very convincing or else the LSU Offense was very weak
A massacre. It's a miracle some player from MSU didn't get seriously hurt.
They were playing Miss. St.
That is just how football works sometimes. You sometimes have to wait until the other teams spirit is broken to win. They did look a little sluggish at first but it was the first game after all.
LSU looked good. I expected more of a high powered offense from them. Like speedy receivers and just speed in general, not running up the middle.
I felt kinda bad for Miss St. You could tell they were hurting pretty bad inside about it, so I was rooting for them to at least get a field goal, but every time their offense went out, they fumbled away, got picked off, or got completely shut down...
After watching this 45-0 blowout i dont even know why this game was so hyped up in the first place. I think almost everyone knew what the outcome of this game would be. LSU did not even look like they came ready to play but it didnt matter when they had the game handed to them by Henig the MSU QB. (6 INTs!!!) Overall this was a terrible game
No comment...........Lets see how they do against a real football team .....................
defense looked great as advertised
LSU looked good against a very weak team. It will be interesting to see how they do as they get the bugs worked out and they play a team that can put some talent on the field. I wouldn't be too worried about their ability to win games, but I wouldn't get too excited about them based on how they looked against MSU either.
The offensive line had a freshman starting in the place of Will Arnold and the passing game was put on a back burner last night for some reason. I guess we don't wanna show VA Tech our playbook just yet.
Well, it sure looked like the offensive plan was not to show VA Tech anything. I cannot imagine we will see the same offensive game plan against the Hokies. I mean Hester was the featured back over Williams. I don't think so.
People are idiot's. It was the first game of the year against a conference rival. Miss St sucks. LSU's goal was to come in and beat them without using a lot of plays. We have VT next week. The first quarter, we ran draws and traps. The second quarter was basically the same with an occasional pass play. We showed glimpse of our capability without exposing our playbook to the entire nation that was watching the game. Our Defense is off the charts good. Our offense needs polishing, but will be fine. We went in to Starkville and beat a fired up Miss St team 45-0. I think that is a pretty damn good way to start a season.
The o-line played terrible. Stewart could not stop Titus Brown at all and majority of the game our best o-lineman wasnt even out there. The play calling wasnt very good. It could be that they didnt want to show Va Tech too much for next weekend but I doubt that. The defense played good espically the secondary. The d-line disappointed me. As great they were supposed to be they didnt show that to me last night. The secondary didnt look like they missed Landry and Jessie Daniels at all.
LSU looked predictable. Flynn was average. The key was Miss St., 6 interceptions, with that many turn overs you are handing the game to the opponent. The score is missleading, as I don't think LSU was dominant at all. I just think Miss St is that bad and no amount of sugar coating is going to wash this away. True USC is going to pound the fighting french fries of Idaho tomorrow, so at least for week one they well be even.
i watched it and up until halftime miss state held tough but LSU's defense with 6 picks were just too much for the bulldogs
They won 45-0. What the fuk else do you want them to do. That played Miss St at home and absolutely man handled them to the tune of 45-0. Mission Accomplished.
Defense looked great as expected. Didn't have to show much offense to tip off next weeks game plan. No chato playing a division 2 team like some of the other "powers" did is playing a division 2 team. Mississippi State would be beat any of those division 2 teams.. ..
