| If you look at Kansas out of conference schedule then you could see how the BCS title could leave them out? |

Alright I was saying if Kansas wins out they deserve to go to the championship game. Well I changed my mind after I looked at their out of conference schedule - Central Michigan, Toledo, Southeastern louisianna and Florida International? You've got to be joking? I don't care if they beat Oklahoma and Missouri they still don't deserve it. The big 12 could be down this year and Kansas did not play one meaningful non conference game. why would Kansas deserve to be in if they win out? Fighting Tiger who cares that there intention was to get bowl eligible. The fact is they put 4 cream puffs on their schedule. The BCS needs to stop rewarding cream puff out of conference schedules. |

It's becoming much more popular, what I call the Bobby Bowden approach to winning a national championship. |

at this very moment, it is very clear why they aren't number 1. i think you are right Kansas is a feel good story but not much better that a Boise st or Utah was a few years ago, i say it should be lsu what a schedule they had to play and Oregon with the pac ten much improved in the title game Let me get this straight...IF they beat Oklahoma and Mizzou, two top 5 teams in two weeks, they wouldn't have proven themselves worthy? this is why every year i am right behind terry bowden on his articles for creating a playoff system...but yes your right, plus big 12 is super weak this year.. texas beat ucf by 3.. i mean come on I think if they win out and all else remains the same they will overtake Oregon..and make the NC..... If they beat Missouri and Oklahoma, then I see them jumping over Oregon in both human polls. Since those polls are 2/3 of the BCS formula I can't see them being left out of the BCS Title Game no matter how weak their non-conference schedule is (and it is really weak). Thier strenght of schedule is stronger than Southern Cal's and Ohio State's. I was pulling for my Alma Mater to beat them(Southeastern Louisiana) but it didnt happen. I guess that means the lions will be left out of the title game just like USC, OSU, and WVU huh? Geaux Lions!!!! have you watched them play ever? they are a smart, disciplined, and efficient team. they can play with anybody this year. and if they beat oklahoma and missouri, they deserve a shot to prove to the country that they are the best team. so they didnt play anyone non-conference. they still won. I agree that although they are fun to watch, they still have much to prove. However, if they beat BOTH Oklahoma and Missouri, they must be taken seriously. Right now I dont think that will happen and I think Oregon and LSU are the real #1 and #2 in college football. Well, let me ask you did you have a problem with Ohio State's ranking? I mean Youngstown St, Akron and Kent St are real tough teams. Ohio St is currently ranked seventh and has never played a Top 20 team and was beaten by an unranked team at the time. KU's schedule is tougher than any other team in the BCS top ten for the last 2 weeks of the season. If they beat 2 top 5 teams they deserve to play for the title WITHOUT A DOUBT. If they choke and fall to Mizzou, they will drop out the top 10 and Mizzou will play OU for the Big 12. OU has already shown Mizzou who's boss, so they will fall out after they lose to OU. OU will then have the votes to put them in the title game. PERIOD Kansas Non Conf If kansas wins out they WILL be in the title game, get used to it. That being said, I dont think they can beat Oklahoma. How could you POSSIBLY keep them out IF they run the table? They're in a BCS conference and would be the NATION'S ONLY UNDEFEATED BCS member school! |
