2. why did my mom let me go to the sports store at the mall and buy a state t-shirt and a michigan stirt knowing full well that they were two seprate teams (possibly rivals or something)

im not a retard i knew there were where more than one univeristy i just dont know the difference between michigan and michigan state. oh and i spelled shirt wrong i i didnt buy a skirt im not that stupid :)

I don't know why your mother did that. Perhaps she did not know. What part of the state are you in? They are bitter rivals. Depending on what part of the state you are in you might want to wear one more than the other.

Two seperate Universities. Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans. Michigan State being a state university is easier to get into. Both have football teams in the same conference. They are definitely rivals!!!

Are you special or something? Michigan, like every other state, has multiple universities. Many of those colleges are large enough to sustain major college football programs? Both the University of Michigan and Michigan State University are historically successful football programs. The are in-state conference rivals, but Michigan fans would definitely consider their bigger rival to Ohio St.

I live in Alabama where the strongest in-state rivalry exists - Alabama/Auburn. If Michigan is anything like it is down here, you need to pick a side.

There are a lot more colleges than just Michigan and Michigan St. too. There is Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, and Central Michigan that have Football teams. I'm guessing your Mom wanted you to be neutral!!

Please, what ever you do - don't wear a michigan state shirt with a michigan skirt...you would be considered border line retarded. It's for your own protection...I would suggest taking both of them back and buy something from Ohio State - I think you would fit in perfectly with their type of fan.
