Michigan's defense is always compromised by speed. You want to run a power running game at them, sure they'll stuff you. But you spread on them and make them run with you, you can score all over them.

Here was the stat at halftime. In the last 10 quarters (Ohio State, USC, Appy St) the Michigan defense has given up 108 points.

appalacian state isnt that much of a cupcake they are the defending 1-AA champions. im still in shock that they r winning as i thought the the game wouldnt be very close.

Appalachian St is no pushover. They've won the national title in Div I-AA the last two years for a reason. That's quality football, not some little NAIA Div. III program. They've got great team speed and plenty of experience in big games. I-AA fans won't be surprised in the least if they finish off this upset.

Well Appalachian St is a great 1AA team, they're the defending 1AA national Champion. Appalachian St. got a great defense, the best in 1AA period and the offense is also the best of 1AA, they're as explosive as their is in 1AA division. Michigan though they could just walk all over Appalachian St. but they're wrong about Appalachian St. these are your #1 team in the 1AA division and if Michigan doesn't get their act together soon, this is the greatest upset in college football history, remember this is not 1A vs. 1A but 1A vs. 1AA, so this is the best upset of them all.

Funny how everyone jumps on the DIV 1-AA bandwagon when "their" them is losing to them. Who cares if they were the two time defending champion in Div -1AA, Michigan is ranked "5th" in the nation, is from a "BCS" conference, and is playing at HOME!!! Excuses??? Wake Up!!!

They were too big headed to realize that a school with schemes like Appalachian State could come in and put up numbers like that. Never overlook you opponent...
