| Question for Michigan fans who have been to Michigan Stadium.? |
|
I have tickets for Michigan v. Minnesota on 10-27. How early should I arrive for the game? How is parking at the stadium? Or do you need to park somewhere else and bus or cab to the stadium? Any suggestions would be great. I live 3 hours away and I have never been to Michigan Stadium/Ann Arbor area. |

You may want to park away from the south campus (Michigan's athletic center) and get into downtown by bus or cab. Trying to drive into downtown in the vicinity of gametime is insane. Now, with regards to the game itself, try to be there 45 mins - 1hour at the gate; it'll take a while to get in. Besides, it will allow you sometime to get settled and watch the pre-game show. |

Well I havnt been there yet but I would get there way early cause they'll be doing tale gate stuff but yeah be there cheer for our Michigan Wolverines if your a Michigan fan and have fun. You don't have to get there super early unless you want to tailgate or hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. We usually get there 30 to 40 minutes before kickoff, park near the stadium and pay $20 to park in someones yard. There are plenty of parking options if you don't mind paying. Of course, the farther you get from the campus/stadium the cheaper it is. Just drive down State Street and there'll be people holding up signs letting you know how much it costs to park in their parking lot or yard. If you prefer not to pay for parking, you'll have to look for street parking in the neighborhoods behind the stadium. It's hit or miss, though, and you'd want to get there a couple hours before kickoff. Your hotel may have a free shuttle. Also, you could probably take a city bus, especially if you're staying near the Briarwood Mall at the other end of State Street (http://www.aata.org/routes.asp). |
