| Best rivalry - USC/UCLA, USC/Notre Dame, Oklahoma/Texas,Ohio State/Michigan, AU/Alabama or Cal/Stanford? |

Any other that might be worth mentioning? |

Auburn vs Alabama. These two absolutely hate each other and are desperate to win the game. I was at one game and there was a tornado easily visible right outside the stadium. It was pouring rain. They evacuated the bands but Nobody left their seat. Crazy. People in Aabama base their self-worth on this game and it is talked about everyday of the year. |

OK/Tex Auburn/Bama off of this list. what about army-navy UCLA/UCS =] I'd say either Ohio State/Michigan, Michigan/Michigan State or USC/Duke Other - Backyard Brawl, West Virginia vs Pitt. They've been going at it since 1895, and it's still a fierce rivalry. Easy, Michigan Ohio State. It's ESPN's #1 rated rivalry, and there isn't a game all year (outside of the National Title game) that gets more hype and coverage than this game. Also, this game almost always determines who wins the Big Ten. I gotta rep the IRISH on this one by saying USC/Notre Dame...and yes i know that the matchup has been very favorable to USC lately but i dont think anyone can deny that the 2005 matchup with the "Bush Push" was one of the best games in college football history Michigan/Ohio State from the the choices given i would say Ohio state and michigan. but my favorite is ole miss and miss state I'd love to say Cal/Stanford, but I have to say Ohio State/Michigan is the biggest rivalry. Ohio State vs Michigan Depends on where you live or who you favorite team(s) are. Ohio State/Michigan. Nebraska / Oklahoma PLEASE!!! It depends on what year it is really but don't forget these. These are all good rivalries, you can't go wrong with any of them, but I'm a USC fan, and i look forward to play Notre Dame and UCLA, and we got 2 rivalries her going on in Trojans land. USC vs. Notre Dame and USC vs. UCLA wow 2 exciting teams every year. So, you don't like my trash talking about LSU? I guess the truth hurts too badly. If Notre Dame were still relevant nationally, I'd say USC/ND. But the Irish aren't very good anymore, and haven't been for 30 years with the exception of 1988. When you not only look at what the rivalry means to each school but also its' national implications, I think you have to go with OU/Texas. This neutral site meeting is an event, not just a game. OU is the most successful team of the post-WW II "modern era", with Texas right behind. I know people in Dallas that schedule vacations during Red River Shootout week, because of all of the crazy diehards from each side that come to town. And coaches have been hired and fired at both schools based solely on their success against the other. On a national scale, I would go with Ohio State/Michigan or Oklahoma/Texas. |
