|Why did Notre Dame lose yesterday...?|
Is it the former "Offensive Line Coordinator" turned coach's fault?
Notre Dame has won more consensus national championships and produced more All-Americans than any other Division I-A school. Additionally, 7 Fighting Irish football players have won the Heisman Trophy...ok so now can we get a little more insight than all of the "I hate ND" stuff....I really want to know what people think.
Because Weis tried to take a page out of Lou Holtz's coaching book and win with the option...and it failed miserably...Weis needs to coach the way HE coaches...pro style offense...with the right QB...THAT would be Jimmy Clausen, not Demetrius Jones...and also, instead of replacing the Defensive Coordinator, he should have replaced the Secondary Coach...Their defense actually looked better and faster, but they still couldn't stop GT...They ran over ND...
Because God doesn't like them as much
Simply because they have no Quarterback. They are just as overrated as usual but this time there is no Brady Quinn to win some games and get them to a bowl game like last year. Jimmy Clausen will end up starting, but he will not be able to right the ship. My predicion: Notre Dame wins 4 games and does not go to a bowl. and if they do go to a bowl its because they are so overrated.
Because they are a lousy football team.
Because they weren't as good as the other team.
they just lost thats all
America's darling ND does poorly when matched against a strong non-conference opponent. Dont matter, they'll be in the top 25 with 4 losses.
No it is not the coaches fault. The reason is that Georgia Tech this year has an explosive offense and a Heroic defence. Also, Notre Dame lost because of their inexperienced Quarterbacks, and the incredible pass rush that Tech put on them. Notre Dame won't be a terrible team because of this loss, but this means that they will never be the same without Brady Quinn.
They had Brady Quinn, Jeff Samardzjia, Rhema McKnight, and Darius Walker last year and were still mediocre at best. No wonder they're in for a very long season this year.
Why? Because the other team scored more points, that's why. It's nobody's fault, it's just football.
because we lost too many senoirs last year this is a rebuilding year and geogia tech is a really good team
because rudy isn't on the team any more lol jp they had a bad day thats all
Because they are horrible
I don't think you can blame this on merely one person. It was a total failure on offense and defense.
they just completely bombed with no defense what so ever and they are completely messed up without brady quinn and none of there 3 back up qb's can throw a pass
They didn't score enough points to beat Georgia Tech
No, to be perfectly honest, you can't blame coach Weis.
They just don't have the horses this season, and they lost some players from last year who are really hard to replace.
Even though they haven't had much success save 2005, Notre Dame is consistently overrated. They simply don't recruit marginal academic players or marginal character players.
They played a great team in Georgia Tech.I was not surprised that they lost.I was surprised it was so methodical.
because they suck this year
I caught some of that game. ND has too many wimpy white dudes on their team. GT has some huge, built black men, and Atlanta is a rough city so they are probably used to fighting their way through. I am not a football guru at all, but I will tell you that the teams with the most skinny white guys on them generally have the worst time. All you have to do is look at GT's lineup to see that they are the winning team.
Because they just couldn't generate any offense....3 turnovers didn't help either...but you have to give credit to Tech coach Chan Gaily and staff;he was very underrated at Dallas...they figured out how to contain the Fighting Irish.
Because they suck and always will suck....They should not have even been in a BCS game last year, thats why they got their asses kicked
What I saw yesterday was an offensive team that couldn't protect their qb . When that happens to a team it doesn't matter who the qb is ,the teams gonna lose .
They lost because they didn't put in Rudy. Players already said if Rudy doesn't play, they're not playing. RUDY RUDY RUDY !!!!!
I'm glad that they lost and they better get used to it,because they have a tough schedule,I hope they lose all of their games for what they did to Ty Willingham.Charley Weiss succeeded last year because he had the recruiting class that Willingham had brought in.
