There is something the crowd roars as the kick is set & then once kicked then a quick chant happens... What is it? I can never understand it on the tv.

Please no guesses! This is a serious question... not really meant for someone to get easy points.

I'd like to know so that I can participate if I ever get the chance to attend a game!! :)

What are some of the other chants they say?? The popular ones that is...Besides O-H-I-O?

Usually before the game its always OH-IO. Right after the kickoff its always a quick O-H-I-O. Randomly during games the crowd chants O H I O starting with block O with the first O. TBDBITL plays hang on sloppy always in the 2nd half. Band goes on the field and then plays Script Ohio, then the team comes on the field. Then OSU wins. After every home game, the team goes in front of the band while they play Carmen Ohio(alma mater).

As far as another chant...I believe 'The low spark of the high-heeled boys' comes to mind.

One half of the stadium says O, H! and the other half replies I, O ! when the ball is kicked, its just a quick o-h-i-o (we like to spell ohio)

as far as other chants, the OH IO is pretty much it. why change it if its perfect?

also when we play hang on sloopy at the 4th quater it goes like this,

hang on sloopy, sloopy hang on, O-H-I-O!

so much fun !
