Funny, because last year there was nobody calling Ohio State overrated and nobody questioned the toughness of the Big 10, seeing how most teams were ranked last year.
This year is a little rough on the Big 10 though, but we will still, as usual, 6 to 7 teams to bowl games. That's not an overrated conference.
Ohio State has also won the games we were supposed to win, covered the spread most of the time. OSU has NOT had to score with 1 second left to win a game, or make a last second drive to barely win. Hmm, LSU vs Florida and Auburn, LSU should have lost. #1 teams are not supposed to lose, so don't question Ohio State or the Big 10, when there is not one undefeated team in the SEC.
So, admit Ohio State is playing well and they have NOT lost to un-ranked teams, or teams they should have beat. Again, you can say all you want about LSU and USC...but tough teams don't lose to weak teams and get to remain #1.

Ohio State is the most overrated team, but that doesn't mean the Big Ten is overrated. BUCKEYES SUCK!

no. the buckeyes are a good team. the big ten is having a terrible year with the wolverines, nittany lions, and Wisconsin all loosing 2 games. you will see how good the buckeyes are when the blow out Michigan on November 17Th.

The buckeyes are overated and the Big 10 is just going through a bit of a hard time.

Ohio State is a great team. The conference does not get overrated. Everyone nows they are bad. The most overrated conference is the Big12

Penn State will beat OSU this weekend. As for the Big Ten being overrated, there isn't anyone in the media saying that conference is any good, so that statement is baseless, although the Big 10 was 2-1 v. the SEC in bowl games last year.

Not at all. The Big Ten isn't overrated because everyone knows that the conference just isn't very good this year.

I can only assume that you think the Buckeyes are overrated for two possible reasons 1. January 8, 2007 and/or 2. They haven't played a very tough schedule. First off, this team is way different than the team from last year. Our defense is amazing this year, and our offense looks more like 2002 than 2006. The whole argument that we aren't good because of last year's NC game holds no water because this team is completely different.

Secondly, I have to agree that the Buckeyes haven't played a very tough schedule yet, but that changed on Saturday against Michigan St. The meat of our schedule is coming up right now. This argument isn't very strong this year because of all the upsets. It would be one thing if all of the ranked teams had lost to other ranked teams, but it's not that way at all. Most teams have been losing to nobodies (App. St., Stanford, Syracuse, Colorado, Miss. St., Vandy, Kansas St., Oregon State) 12 or 13 top 10 teams have lost to unraked foes. Sure teams like Florida have lost two close games to quality opponents, but you don't deserve to be in the national title picture if you lose twice in your own conference. Championship teams win those close games. The point is that lots of teams have lost to opponent of to the same or lower quality than teams Ohio State has blown out of the water.

osu hasnt been tested really yet-they beat mich st by 7 points.they still got penn st,mich to play so its a wait and see.but the big ten aint as good this year as its been in the past-but watch out for the 2 wild cards-illinois and wisconsin!

Usually, I would agree with you...however this year (and it is a strange year) I would say NO one is over rated....more like they're all pretty equal, and OSU is ranked #1 by default.

As for the Big Ten usually being over ratted, probably has a lot to do w/ the "Sporting News" being a Michigan publication, and the influence they have in the media.

It's hard for me to like ANY conference that doesn't have a conference Championship game. A previous posted said the Big 12 was over rated...yeah, maybe, but at least they have a conference Championship game, thus they aren't AFFRAID of costing one of their teams a possible shot at the Nat'l Championship...unlike the so called big10 and the PAC 10.

Well u really cant say the Big 10 Sucks overall, All the teams in the Big 10 are mostly losing to each other, because they have the losses doesnt mean they're bad, and Michigan has redemed itself, Penn St is still a good team, Ohio State may be somewhat overated, but arnt a lot of teams overated right now? This year in football is the year of the upsets, which wont be a significant year

yes and i am a big ten fan and even i say they are overrated. there is always next year!

I say the Pac 10 & SEC are grossly overrated.. the pac 10 has USC and 9 other teams basically, and the SEC is so stuck on themselves and their schedule, but who do they play out of conference that the Big Ten has such an inferior schedule in comparison??

I live in SEC country and am sick of hearing how good they are.. Florida won last year over the Big Ten.. I don't know the numbers off hand but I'd be interested to hear how many championships for each in the past 25 years.. We all know up til the mid 90's the Big Ten & Pac 10 always went to the Rose Bowl and never got considered for a national championship...

im frum ann arbor michigan so of course i think ohio state is overrated they havnt played any good teams yet and they wont go undefeated cuz they play tha wolverines in ann arbor (and they r playing wolverine football jus wen u thought they were the team u need not to worry about)
