| Why is it that the top football recruits from Texas cant wait to wear the crimson of Oklahoma? |

Adrian Peterson, and now this Calhoun kid |

Beats me, maybe they didnt meet Texas academic standards? |
|
Cause the Sooners take any sort of athlete. Texas has high standards and some of these kids don't meet them. Calhoun wanted to go to Texas, he had verbally committed to them before his ratings were ever out, but Texas said they would not pursue him, due to their standards. What this kid did or what he didn't do is a question, but his intentions were to play with the horns, but after he found this out he committed to OU. Bloods want them in colors. OU has landed the top 3 players from TX this year but if you look at the last two classes Texas had 12 of the top 19 players from last year and 6 of the top 9 in the state from 2006. During that time OU landed one of those top recruits. Recruiting is cyclical and Texas can't keep the top players every year. because the meth is easier to come by up in norman. Because Oklahoma has the winningest tradition in college football. It is also a great school that has the highest % of merit scholars in the nation. Did I mention the coolest uniforms too? Did I mention the coaching is a lot better too? Did I mention that the girls are a lot better looking too? Did I mention....... |
