Respect for the Big East?

How can you respect a conference that Rutgers is leading.

you cant, Baylor and Vanderbilt would be undefeated in the little east

Why

I respect the win by Rutgers helping my team, none other than the defending champs TEXAS! I love Ray Rice and thank you Scarlet Knights!

I don't respect it yet as a major conference.

why not??? i don't understand why people resent Rutgers. i mean they worked so hard to get to where they are today. i mean you have to respect that. there only other big game that they have won was the first football game against Princeton. they were the underdogs in this game. everyone should be happy for them because they came out of that hole.

they used to laugh at us and now we get the last laugh...the scarlet knights will always prevail!

rutgers has looked good in every game they have played this year.. including some blow-out wins against non conference opponents.

west virginia blasted an SEC team for the sugar bowl last year..

now they too can step up to the plate and lose to Rutgers, just like everyone else has this year..

rutgers has to be considered in the BCS discussions.

I'm a fan of Syracuse, one of the lowly teams in the Big East. Even so, from what I've seen throughout the conference has been amazing. The competition is always tough, so I don't want to hear any of this "No Big East team should compete for the National Title" crap.

Rutgers is unbeaten, and there are only 3 others: Ohio State, Michigan, and Boise State. Assuming ALL CURRENT UNBEATENS reamain unbeaten (which would mean Rutgers beating my Orange), the Scarlet Knights SHOULD make it to the title game, and I've got 3 good reasons why they should:

1. The WAC isn't any better than the Big East, which immediately excludes Boise State from the conversation, even if they too go unbeaten.

2. Ohio State and Michigan play each other already, so we already have the game we all are looking forward to. A rematch would be cool, but it would really spurn those fans down there in Jersey. Oh yeah, and it would cause an uproar if an unbeaten got beat out by a team that had a loss.

3. This has been an amazing turnaround by a once pathetic team. Trust me, you HAVE to be a fan of a team in the Big East to know how much of a turnaround it is. Once Miami(Fla), BC and VaTech left, nobody gave this conference a chance. But know look at it. It has 3 very good teams this year. And if Rutgers stays unbeaten, they should go in, because this conference derserves to have a team playing for the National Title.

"Respect for the Big East?" you ask? How about 3 teams with no more than 2 losses combined. Sure, the SEC and Big 10 are probably better conferences, but the point I'm trying to make is that any team can beat any team. Ohio State only beat Illinois by 7 (Syracuse beat Illinois by 10 by the way) and Michigan just escaped from losing to Ball State.

Thats your problem, you don't understand respect. Rutgers certainly does because they don't get any. Tell me how a BCS conferance can have 3 undefeated teams going into Nov., every team in the conference plays each other (no other conference can say this), with two of the biggest games of the year, nationally televised on Thursday Night Primetime, and 3 teams in the top 13 in BCS rankings, but get no respect from now that only 1 undeafeated stands in the conference, that team gets no consideration of the National title game, something is seriously wrong. We all know the BCS is wack, but this is just another of many examples to prove it. I realize that Boise gets no respect either, but they certainly aren't in a deep conference. But I think it is safe to say, the Big East is just as deep as any in the nation. We haven't even mentioned the Cincy, which has one of the hardest schedules in the nation, or Pitt, who is a football tradition and always a force to be recond with. And I say this as a VA Tech fan who thought the Big East was over 3 years ago. Can we just mutiny the BCS and start a new system. Can we do that?

fucc you you piece of shiit jealous bastard. It's NJ ***** better bow down or lay down.

Rutgers. 9-0. Fucc what them haters say.

why not, got something against rutgers?

Sure y not? hell, the 'ex-spurts' think the sec is the toughest conference!! how dumb is that? the sec is a conference that has been DOMINATED by ONE TEAM -alabama- since it's inception, K?

The Big Ten has THREE teams who've EACH won more national championships than ANYONE in the sec, except alabama!!!

The Big Ten - - 33 national titles

southeastern - - 27 national titles

AFTER THIS YEAR; The Big Ten - - '34' national titles

GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SO ******* PISSED OFF ABOUT LOUISVILLE LOSING. GOD DAMN IT!
