I cant see anyone beating LSU. USC is a great team but I dont think that offense can move on LSU's D.

Louisville and WVU both have great offense's but have no defenses. Louisville was in a shoot out with Midd Tenn St. and WVU didnt look good against Marshall.

I think there are three teams you have to consider.

LSU
USC
Oklahoma

These are by far the three most impressive teams so far. WVU and Louisville will have to face each other and Rutgers and South Florida as well.

Wisconsin is a bit overrated to me and even though they trounced TCU I'm not completely sold on Texas.

The #1 team is USC now, but I will always be an Ohio State fan, whether they win or lose.

i think LSU...their defence is better than USC's and WVU's and their offence is quite suprsingly good ;)

I'd have to agree with you for now. I think WVU and Louisville would beat LSU though.

#1 team is a team that dominates both side of the ball. After what I just saw. I have to give the nod to LSU they are very very good. Only allowed 7 points in two weeks. In two games have not allowed over 300 total yeards in both combined games. They just out 600yds on one the top defenses in the country. They can pass or run the ball when they choose to. Defense is one best in last 10-15 years of football. Vt's only touchdown came on a personal foul play that kept drive alive if not they would never have scored. WOW

Cheer for whoever is playing against the LSU Tigers. Louisiana's declining economy needs education more than football.

LSU is probably the best team in the nation but I think they will lose a game because they have a tough schedule thus keeping them from winning the BCS championship.USc will get knocked out for the same reason. Take a look at WVU or Georgia Tech. They both look strong and have a schedule that favor them in being undefeated.

LSU looked pretty hot yesterday...haven't seen anything this year "so crisp".

Anyone who has seen LSU score a combined 93 points vs only giving up 7 points in two combined games will agree that LSU is #1 if you don't agree your only lying to yourself, they totally dismanteled VT on both sides of the ball, they scored on 4 of their 1st --- 5 possesions and didnt allow VT to score until late 3rd quarter. The only question im asking myself is LSU defense better than their offense or vice versa, not that it matters but they looked pretty balanced. I hope University of Steroid an Cheater, has to come play down here in New Orleans against LSU in the BCS title game so we can finally shut them the hell up, they still think they won the national title in 2004-2005 season but the last time I checked we had the BCS champioship trophy in OUR trophy case.

I am a Hokie, and if we are going to lose one, I have to admit, I was pleased it wasn't a shut out. Thank you, to Tyrod, and to Beamer for realizing you had to let him play.

I don't know where our defense was, clearly not on the field tonight, but LSU is fast. No excuse for our guys, but I really didn't know how fast until tonight. Now that Beamer will use Taylor, I have hopes for the ACC title and a good bowl game, but I am a believer in LSU for the national championship.

After last night without question LSU.. They dismantled the #9 team in the nation. They play a tougher schedule in a tougher conference.

LSU is clearly my #1 team.
USC is also is an excellent program but lets face it they are running their offense with a quarterback from Louisiana and their recruit, McKnight, #1 in America - yep Louisiana.
Say what you want about LSU, most people do, but we can play some ball down here!
Most LSU fans agree - we aren't so delusional that we think were the best team ever or best program of all time. We just want some damn respect from the media and USC!
They were never on my radar until they started crying about the 2003 championship.
