Wow. Look at this. There are or at least is a USC fan who understands that USC just isn't that good this season. Thank you for admitting that. Hey I understand your frustration and that's why I have not said anything bad about them. But mostly there have not been that bad on your team, especially from LSU fans. They have showed a lot of class. But it happens to us all at one time or the other. Finally a USC fan that I can respect.
It kills me when fans make excuses for their teams and downplay how well the team played that beat them. When your team plays like ****, admit it. Nobody can play perfectly all the time. You win some you lose some. Ifs and could haves and should haves have no place in football.
Kudos to you for saying what your fellow USC fans couldn't say. My hats off to you. I haven't seen too many outrageous claims by Trojan fans, although I did see one where the guy claimed that USC should still be in the number 1 slot. I just told him to open his eyes and see that facts.....
I'm not really a fan of LSU or USC, so it doesn't matter to me. My humble yet retarded fellow SC supporter did you have to kiss up to the SC haters like this? Was this post even necessary? You think this will make the haters pity the Trojans?
It WAS an embarassing loss everybody knows that but this post is even more embarassing.Get a grip, phony SC alum.
Have you seen the mood on campus this morning? Dude I was at the heritage hall today and dudes were pissed off. You are right, there is no excuse for losing to a team like Stanford for USC. I am an LSU fan and losing to Stanford for you guys would be the equivalent of us losing to Vanderbilt or Tulane. I think that USC fell victim to one of the classic college blunders of all time. They overlooked an opponent and got snuck up on.
I really was hoping that the Trojans would remain undefeated this year because I wanted it to be LSU vs. USC for the national title. We have to have one of the best rivalries that hasn't been played out. Unfortunately this doesn't look likely to happen anymore.
I will admit that for the past few years I have been a firm believer that USC has been over ranked. I also believe that the SEC is the toughest conference in the country. Please don't confuse that with meaning that the SEC always has the best team in the country, just that compared to other conferences we seem to consistantly have more teams than other conferences in the top 25.
In addition to being an LSU fan, my dad graduated from OU. I certainly give you credit for being the best team in the country in 2004. That year USC played every game like they were prepared and not like lazy players expecting to win because everyone said they would.
I don't think USC will lose another game this year because I don't think they will make the same mistake again for a long time to come. Unfortunately, the game they made the mistake in was one that they couldn't afford to lose. I still hope to see them in the national championship though. Man you are overreacting. This was a bad stumble but it is not enough to right off the whole season. If USC can somehow overcome the numerous injuries and beat Cal and Oregon then you will have a really good team. That is a big if though.
Stanford played an inspired game and congratualtions to them. If you don't think lossing two starting Oline, a broken finger QB, down to third string corner, maybe best line backer and RB's Stafon Johnson & Gable then you never played the game of football. You may have been a fan all your life but never played the game. If USC gets healthy and runs the table again this is a big IF they will be team to be to be feared. If they lose anymore games then sure they don't deserve much respect. Let's see how the rest of the season plays out before we say USC is undeserving.
