I am a Big-12 fan, but Nebraska is being overrated to help media darling USC look better when they play. They should be ranked no higher than the low 20's. I would love to see the Huskers sock it to those cheating Trojans though!

Tim is out of him/her mind! The Big-12 has admittedly been down a little the last two years, but 3 or 4 years ago, we were going out there and winning all those California Bowl games and blowing out West coast teams!

I totally agree with you. The media always does this to help out the Pac-10 or just boost the ratings to hype up the games that week. This is a prime example. I was thinking the same thing this morning when I heard the news already talking about it.

There is no way Nebraska should be ranked 14. I agree. They are good but not that good. They really disappointed me this weekend versus Wake Forest. I was really expecting to see them open up the field more versus them.

I would think Nebraska should be ranked 20 at best. I can see them beating Boston College and Clemson but maybe not the few SEC teams behind them.

Every year, Big 12 fans rant and rave, "We don't get enough media coverage, we don't get enough media coverage! We are just as good as the South and West but nobody ever pays attention to us! Waaa!!" Then everytime a game is played between the Big 12 and someone from the South or Pac 10, the Big 12 gets completely destroyed. The Big twelve hasn't been good in a long, long time. OU had a good team a few years, and Nebraska was good back in the early 90's. That's about it.

Nebraska is not very good. You are absolutely correct in your assumption that the media is hyping them up so that their precious USC can have a high quality win. However, I feel that USC themselves is an over hyped football team and I hope that Nebraska kicks their azz.

Yes you are onto something. It is a massive conspiracy to make USC look good. Nebraska is really one of the worst teams in the country but the Media has fixed the schedule. In fact Nebrsaka may finish in the top 25 even if USC beats them just because the secret media legion is designing plans to insure Nebraksa is over rated.

Either that are they are actually trying to boost rating so they make more money. Of course the first scenarion is far more likely.

Absolutely, you hit the nail on the head. USC has a weak schedule. They don't play anybody until the end of the season when they play Cal and UCLA. They have to build them up somehow. Idaho's win againt Cal Poly 20-13 makes USC's victory over Idaho look even more unimpressive. NEB was not impressive in their win over Wake, so if USC doesn't beat them by at least a couple of TD's that will not look good for USC. The game is in Lincoln, which is a tough place to play, hopefully the Huskers can get some breaks and win the game. Before the season started all the so called experts were talking USC vs LSU in the championship game, so now they have to protect USC to make sure they stay # 1. Once the BCS poll starts and they start plugging the data into the computers USC should drop to 3rd due to strength of schedule, behind LSU and OU. Which puts OU beating LSU for the championship. Go Sooners !!!

I think the media would love to see Texas smash Oklahoma. In fact, i think the media would love to see NCAA downgrade Oklahoma to Division 1-AA.

Oklahoma ain't a good football team. Boise State smashed Oklahoma last year. I wouldn't be surprise if any Division 1-AA smash Oklahoma. Or, I wouldn't be surprise to see if any High School Football Teams smash Oklahoma. That is how weak Oklahoma Football Team.
