What will USC be ranked now in the college football rankings? I say they should be knocked out since Michigan was when they lost to Appalachian State.

I would say, since they lost to and unranked opponent, but considering that other Top 10 teams lost, they will fall to No.9. The reason they won't tumble that far is the fact that so many teams are losing and have 1 loss and most voters still love USC. It's not fair but that's how it will work. Michigan is getting close to being ranked again by the way. A few spots will open up this week, at least 5 spots I think since 21-25 lost, so watch for them to take one.

they got beat at home by a terrible team who had to use their 2nd string QB a week after barely escaping a game against Washington... if USC is out to prove something, I'm hearing them loud and clear.

If u mean obliter8d from the rankings like a test missile satellite target, that's hardly likely. I think the Trojans will remain in the Top 10, although I think their new goal is to appear in the Rose Bowl. Perhaps they'll play MI by the time MMVIII turns up. (Or OH St. if they lose a game or two).

Depends on the definition of knocked out---I'd say down to 28th is a fair expectation.....

Yes they should be knocked down quite aways in the polls. I would say at least 15th. But to me like you said Michigan was knocked out of the top 25 too so USC should be too. LSU shouldn't be ranked number one either for their sloppy come from behind play. If USC played poorly last week to be dropped to number 2 then LSU should be too. I say put Ohio State or California as the number one team in the nation.

Well... Wyoming only lost to Boise St. (a better team than Stanford) and then beat a bunch of cupcakes (like USC), so I'd say that USC should be ranked lower than Wyoming.

Amen to that. I don't see them falling below 15 because they are a media favorite, but they should be no better than 22 or less.
